Ventura Hillside
Buyers are drawn to the Ventura hillside due to it’s spectacular views, elevated feel and beautiful homes. There are few different hillside communities within Ventura, and each has slightly different offerings.
Hobson Heights is the farthest West of the hillside neighborhoods in Ventura and is primarily located above Poli St. Many of these homes are Spanish style, offer unique charm and tend to be older than the other neighborhoods mentioned below. The ocean and city views in this area are spectacular, especially as you move up the hillside towards Hillcrest Dr.
Skyline is the neighborhood that runs off of Skyline Rd. from Foothill Blvd. These homes were built in the 1970’s, however many were lost in the Thomas Fire, thus were recently rebuilt. This neighborhood has the steepest elevation of the Ventura hillside communities, leading itself to panoramic City views.
Ondulando is the next neighborhood East of Skyline. These homes were built primarily in the 1960’s and 1970’s. Many of these homes are located on larger lots, offering privacy and many with views. This neighborhood doesn’t have street lights, which leads to spectacular star gazing at night.
Clearpoint is the farthest East of the Ventura hillside neighborhoods. These homes were built primarily in the 1970’s and 1980’s. Many tend to be more ranch style homes, and are single-story.
